Let’s unite forces to fulfill the United Nations' Global Goals
The world has committed to the United Nations’ Global Goals which should be fulfilled already by 2030. Lena Eriksson Åshuvud supports the goals and works with them in many ways: "For professionals and organizations willing to take on challenges to create a better world, the Global Goals offer a common road map to relate to. They are relevant on a general level as well as for the organization." SDG17 states that collaboration and new partnerships between providers of financial resources and other stakeholders is crucial to achieving the goals. "We will hopefully see more of new forms of partnerships", Lena says.
According to UN’s Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J Mohammed political will and bold leadership are essential in this process. She states that during the pandemic we have seen that when the political will is there, governments and societies are capable of profound change into actions, different behaviour and uniting forces for the greater good.
